AROUND TANGLEWOOD
This Valentines Day had special meaning for Lori and me. Last September we were married 50 years. When we visited our family up north last summer they gave us a wonderful party; but that wasn’t the end of our celebration. This Valentines day our Tanglewood family honored us along with twenty two of our neighbors who were married a half century, along with three couples who are married for 60 years and one couple married 69 years—that’s the year I was born!
THE HOBBY SPOTLIGHT
How are Phil Pluta’s acting and writing hobbies connected? He explains, “In having to work out the blocking in a scene for the character you are playing, the writer in you gets a better feel on how to portray his characters on paper. Sometimes dialogue is flat because it just hangs out there with no visual connection to a place. An actor has to move around and not just stand there and make a speech. If he gets up and walks across the room there is a reason he does this; maybe to get a drink. In writing you can apply this for pacing.”

DINING OUT
We have a new café in downtown Sebring. The location is around the corner from Sandy’s Café. It is quite upscale and the décor is more to big city design. They have made it into a delightful setting for good dining. They have a plentiful menu for seafood and steaks.
