Hit The Road ! Bikers Raise +$1,000

The annual Bike Ride for Cancer was held today, Saturday Jan. 28.  Unlike the rainy and generally nasty weather that plagued the Walk in the Park yesterday, the bikers enjoyed sun and semi-balmy breezes.  Coordinator Dave Werry special ordered the weather for today’s event.  What a guy.

Contest Winners Announced

Round One of theTWRTimes photo identification contest is over.  The winners are:

Ron (and wife Suzanne) correctly identified our mystery kids as Greg Plank and Kristie Plank.  His entry was submitted the first day of the contest.

Vegas Night - Something For Everyone

Special Activities closed its 2011 year in high style with Vegas Night on Friday, January 20.  Hundreds of residents came through the doors to have dinner and then play some of the games.  Some won, some didn’t.  The Highlands County food pantries were the biggest winner.

Talented Artists Display Their Works

Members of the Tanglewood Art League treated us to a stunning display of fine art on Saturday January 21.  Sixteen artists turned the clubhouse into a gallery of paintings, photography, collage, ceramics and a wooden garden cart.
