SPECIAL EVENTS NEWS
February 11th special events hosted The Harmonicats and a comedian by the name of Al Katz. For 65 minutes the laughter echoed throughout the hall. Not only funny but also clean comedy, he’s on our list to repeat next year, as his comedy is not a canned routine but working off the audience, a real professional “Cruise Ship Entertainer”.

The Elvis Twins

Willie Nelson At His Best
February 25th “The Red Hot Jubilee Jam” invaded our stage and the talents of Brian Gurl and Lenny Ski again were highlights of the show doing the “Elvis Brothers” plus their talents on piano and violin. Judy Alexander’s impersonation of Judy Garland made the hair on your arms stand up, Wow just Wow! The added humor of Joey’s Lucy show and Elvis’s unbelievably great drummer made this show a real “winner”. We saw everything from Willie Nelson to Johnny Cash, making this show a blend of Grand Ole Opera to the classical tribute to Chopin to a great closing of New York, New York by the Judy Garland impersonator.

Judy Garland (Judy) and Lenny
Joey As Lucy Doing CommercialMarch 11th we will host “Forever Plaid” a touring group that we have tried to add to list for the past 4 or 5 years. I am told this is the last year of this show and next comes “Plaid Forever” and totally new show. Don’t miss this one!
March 25th we will present a double header, Mindy Simmons doing her rendition of a “Peggy Lee Show”. Her voice, the sounds and her actions will make you feel Peggy Lee is on our stage. The other half of the evening will be “Dominic”, who is a young singer that has held the hearts of many female fans with a tremendous voice and hips to excite them. This will be a fun night of great music! Our plans were to have Denny Diamond doing the Neil Diamond tribute but he had to cancel, maybe again some time later we will try again.
April 1st is April fools day but don’t be fooled, Liberace is gone but the review you’ll see is real. A fabulous show of costumes, outstanding playing of the piano and the best impersonation of Liberace you’ll ever see. Also on the bill, are the outstanding vocals of William Garron. This show brings down the final curtain of our 2007 winter season, and one great ending at that.
Don’t forget the April 4th Special Show! “4 to Five” is a great program with 5 young men singing in great harmony. A Wednesday night special we have worked in and it’s just $8 but it’s free to all “winter season” ticket holders.
The summer schedule of entertainers is now being assembled from the available talents that are in or near Florida in the summer months. At the same time we are working on next Winter Concert Series. We will present 9 shows plus 2 days of Showcase auditions. We hope to have a near completed list of summer shows in April’s edition of the twrtimes under Special Events. We should have the winter list by May’s edition so we can put Season Tickets on sale.
