Also present were Treasurer Marilyn Schoppenhorst and Assistant Treasurer Russ Shaneyfelt. There were 40 people in the audience.

The Secretary's report from October was accepted as submitted.

The Treasurer's report was accepted as amended.

There was no report from the Activities Director.

Tom gave the Chairman's report. We are reminded to keep our Monday morning announcements as short as possible to avoid very long meetings. The Chairs were commended for including new residents and making room for returning snowbirds in their activities. We will investigate the idea of having a Volunteer Fair, as suggested by Karen Bergren, to introduce our new people to committees and activities they might be curious about.

Committee Reports:

The Committee reports were given. There is a Shuffleboard tourney this Saturday. Potluck served 160 people this month. Decorating thanks everyone for their support at their Craft Fair booth. 13 people bought Horseshoes from the dealer this month, and Joe is looking for more players. The new Petanque shed is finally up, and the path to the courts will be paved later. There will be a sign up for Beginning Tennis classes. The last Dance had 402 attending. There are just a few tickets left for New Year's Eve. Bingo needs another board; they will investigate the costs for next month's meeting. There were 52 at Welcome's last orientation. Special Activities had a very busy and successful summer. Quilting is accepting new members and working on a couple charity projects. The Actor's Guild will stage an extra performance of "Cinderella", since their first two shows sold out. 235 came for the last Country Breakfast; they will sell 250 tickets for the next 3 months. There will be signup's for Computer 101 and 102 classes in December.

Old Business:
There was no Old Business.

New Business:
Ken Morgan spoke about the problem of lack of storage space in the freezers, refrigerators, and pantry. He is looking to install heavy-duty racks above the freezers to hold some of the Nesco roasters, to get them out of the pantry. Joe Sorenson offered to help install them when the time comes, and more help is sought., Committees who use the kitchen are urged to get their leftovers out of there.

TMAC has been asked to admit another new committee, the Technical Support Group. Jenkin Davis has been elected chair of the group, and he was invited to speak to TMAC. Their purpose would be to maintain the video and audio equipment and train people to use it properly. Committees and other groups, such as States Parties, who need the equipment would contact Jenkin and he would assign someone if possible to fill the need. Tom said their service would be available to all groups. Shirley asked how this would be funded. Ken Kabet noted that maintenance and replacement are always needed, of course, but purchase of new equipment could run into thousands of dollars for something like a new camera or a bank of lights. Ken Morgan complained that this would be another "taker" committee, with no return on big expenditures. Arnold Fox moved to admit the group, motion seconded by Phil Pluta. A secret ballot was taken. Motion passed, 19 - 2.

Also under New Business: Shirley noted that the next meeting is scheduled for December 20. She asked that because it is so close to Christmas the meeting be cancelled or rescheduled. Suggestion denied.

Joe Patterson cited the need for chain link fencing between the horseshoe pits It is a safety issue. He will ask Management for permission and money to install the fencing.

The meeting was opened to comments from the audience. Roger Kirk complained that Tanglewood residents should be able to get into Special Events shows before the non-residents are admitted. The problem was referred to Bruce Ortberg, who wasn't in attendance. There is also an acknowledged problem about seat saving at shows, dances, fire rings, etc. Our policy is that Seat Saving is Not Allowed, although working committee members can mark their own places. Loraine McKeever addressed the Bingo Chairman, and asked him to review the rules before each Bingo session. She also noted that there is so much talking at the tables that it is hard, if not impossible, to hear the caller.

The meeting adjourned at 3:55. Next meeting is December 20 at 3:00 PM.

Submitted for approval,
Shirley Kabet, Secretary
