TMAC NEWS - MAY, 2005

THOUGHTS FROM THE CHAIR

It was really great to see so many residents at our April TMAC meeting! I hope that you found it interesting enough to mark your calendar for the May 18 th session as well.

I was especially pleased to have input from the audience on a couple of concerns that certainly needed some explanation. As I said at the meeting, nothing can be gained by talking about a community issue over the trash can; but asking a question or offering a solution at one of our meetings may shed light on an otherwise complicated or controversial topic.

Our Committee's goal this year has been to be as accessible as possible to our membership and to let you know that you are an integral part of our organization. When you become a resident in Tanglewood, you become a member of TMAC. By joining a committee, you also have the opportunity to serve as its chair and, as a result, to become a TMAC Committee member.

I was happy to talk with representatives of two groups within our community last week about their possible participation in TMAC. While joining TMAC may have some financial benefits, the main reason for membership is to have a voice in the molding of the activities for our growing population. We welcome all groups to the Committee!
